In November 2007 the United Nations declared the use of Taser's a form of torture in direct violation of the U.N. Convention Against Torture. Unfortunately 300 our fellow citizens have been tortured to death by these supposed "Non Lethal" devices. It took the cops 4 years to murder the first 75 US citizens with TASERS yet 225 Americans have been TASERED to death in the past 30 months as the use of this torture device proliferates throughout the nations Police Departments.
A woman 8 months pregnant was TASERED by Police in Seattle over a speeding ticket if this wasn't bad enough cops have also TASERED the elderly and children as young as 6 years old. A Florida Bartender had her Breast tasered at work by Police after she became upset that they failed to arrest a customer who had thrown water in her face.

Taser Nation

The proto-fascist direction of the nation is now enveloping people who never saw themselves as the targets of state terror, that is to say, white people. Black people were always victims of police brutality. White people either approved or may have even felt sorry for Negroes but just didn’t care enough. They didn’t think the same treatment would ever be meted out to them.
Now thanks to video cameras & YouTube, everyone is now a witness to the trickle down movement of police brutality. If the president & vice president & Congress determine that torture is acceptable for some, inevitably it becomes acceptable for all.
Police brutality and selective prosecutions are not new. The old fashioned billy club was the low tech weapon of yesteryear. Now that physical torture has been championed by the White House, instead of being practiced in the basements of police precincts, everyone is at risk. It just isn’t possible for abuse to be legitimized against one group.
In recent months there has been a spate of news stories, with horrific video to match, showing police officers using Tasers to subdue harmless people. In Warren, Ohio a cop used one of the stun guns on a handcuffed woman. A Utah highway cop grew so annoyed with a blonde, blue eyed, white man who wouldn’t sign a traffic citation, that he gave him the 50,000 voltage jolt just to teach him who was boss.
None of these cops seemed to care that the video cameras mounted on their cars noted their every act and comment. In the Utah case, the itchy trigger fingered cop openly bragged to a colleague, "He took a ride with the Taser." His friend replied jokingly for posterity, "Painful, isn’t it?".
It is the old story over again following one of these TASER Deaths. The police always claim the TASERING was justified even when a video of the incident contradicts this. The critics call for a moratorium on these instruments of death at least until they can be further studied will go unheeded. Unless there is a concentrated effort to overcome the public apathy to these TASER incidents the death toll will continue to rise. Business as usual in a Police State. How can the USA not be deemed a Police State when it imprisons more of it's own population than any other nation in world history and that includes Stalin's USSR , Hitler's NAZI Germany , and the old white ruled Apartheid South Africa. (video)
Why the veritable scream of objection in regards to Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib and an almost complete silence after all 300 of these TASER death incidents here at home? Don't get me wrong I despise torture anywhere on earth but if we say nothing when it occurs here at home why should our government listen to us when we protest it's use of torture abroad? This can and must be stopped a fine example of this occurred with our good neighbors to the North you know up in Canada where they don't live in a Police State. The Canadians got tired of this after just 12 people were Tasered to death and their government listened to them and restricted it's use.
Mounties To Curb Taser Use After Report
TORONTO, Dec. 15, 2007
More than a dozen people have died in Canada after being hit by Tasers in the last four years.
The reported incidents this week did not have cameras documenting the use of the Tasers, but in British Columbia, a tourist's video camera recorded the death of a man tased twice while in custody at the Vancouver Airport last month.
That horrifying video shows Robert Dziekanski, a Polish man who spoke no English, become increasingly agitated. He was shocked twice, and then died.
The stun guns were denounced at memorial rallies in Vancouver and Toronto for Dziekanski.
Among the 1,000 people at the Vancouver rally was Paul Pritchard, who shot the video of the confrontation at the city airport.
The crowd gave a hero's welcome to Pritchard, who said he "saw the life drain out of a man's face" and heard "blood-curdling screams."
A rally in front of the Ontario legislature in Toronto drew several hundred people, including Bob Rae, a Liberal candidate in the next federal election.
Rae said the events leading up to Dziekanski's death must "never, ever be allowed to happen again."
The prominent - and sensational - reports of deaths following the use of Tasers has increased attention to their legitimacy, and prompted a bold defense by their manufacturer.
Taser International, based in Scottsdale, Az., released a statement following the Vancouver Airport incident saying no deaths have ever been definitively connected to what the company describes as: "the low-energy electrical discharge of the Taser."
